Hello everyone, I am asking for some technical knowledge/experience in removing my fuel line. I am talking about the long one that travels from the tank to the fron t of the car. I discovered a pin hole on the tubing line that crosses over the frame headed up to the engine compartment. Apparently, the curve of the line was rubbing against the frame developing a pin hole. What is the easiest way to remove it? I see few fuel line brackets secured by a small screw. After I remove those, would the fuel line just drop down and be able to pull it out towards the rear of the car? Has anyone done this? I would appreciate it if you can share the experience. Thanks a lot.
Yes After you remove all screwed in clips and pull the line out of all the clips that it just snaps in and remove it from the rubber line that attaches the front hard line you can just pull the old one out. I'm sure you don't care about destroying the old one anyway.
Thanks Bigchief, Well, I do not want to destroy the old one. I plan on reusing it. I was going to cut the section where the pin hole is, then splice it with a rubber fuel hose. The pin hole is located on the 90 degree bend where it wraps around the right side frame of the car. Installing a new line will probably result to the same pin hole due to rubbing of line againist frame of the car. So, If I plan on repairing through splicing, why am I not splicing this rubber hose while it is installed on the car? Because the space I have down there would not allow a tube cutter to rotate. If anyone thinks this is a bad idea, please let me know.
If I was going to pull the entire line out, I'd replace it with a new one and just modify the routing at the area where it rubbed through...shouldn't take much.

x2 Once you pull that line out all the other holes ready to open ... open. Sometimes saving money involves spending more at the beginning.
I agree with you all about replacing it with a new one. I ended up not pulling the whole line out and just repairing the section where it leaked. I tested it and the leak stopped. I will keep on checking it. If it leaks again, I will have it replaced. Thanks.
