Can anyone tell me if their Pontiac 350 motor sits with a tilt from front to back or it sits almost horizontal?
How far into the shroud is your fan?
And is it a clutch or fixed fan?

My original 350 sits with a tilt to the back and the clutch fan is almost 2" out of the shroud on the top.
I'm sure this is causing my cooling problems on a freshly rebuilt motor.
I bought a new fixed fan and 2.5" spacer to try, but still don't like to tilting back of the motor.

The fan should be part way into the shroud. The fan not only pulls the air straight through but spins it off the tips of the blades.

Thanks guys
I will check the trans mount for sure.
Are you running a clutch or direct fan?
I heard clutch fans where only on AC equipped cars.

With the car on a perfectly even surface the engine and transmission
Should have a 3 degree angle down at the back. You can measure it on either the carb mount or starter mounting surface. Your pinion angle should also be at an up angle of
3 degrees.

4 bladed solid fan. (no clutch)

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
