I went on a 1000 mile trek with my friend Pete to inspect and pick up this car..

http://www.luteysauto.com/inventory.aspx?mk=Pontiac

Unfortunately, after $380 in gas and 17 hours...not to mention trailer fee, the car was a nice looking, hacked up POS.

Anyhow, he is looking for a 67 or 68 vert (67 preferred), automatic, 400, may entertain 326 HO..

Budget is 30k

If you have one, PM me..and you will talk direct to him. If anyone has any leads or so forth, post them here.

Thx!

Yea...man, was I fooled. The body panels were way off...door jambs where striker is and rockers were cut out and replaced VERY poorly...doors didn't even close properly or easily. Undercarriage and firewall had rust scale on it...flaky 1/4" rust flakes...sand everywhere.. in brake linings, inside wheels, core support, fan shroud. Cowl had a rust tear...yes...a tear in the cowl...over painted the correct color...but a $2 to 3k "spray and prey" paint job. Rust over painted on doors...bondo everywhere. Car is a polished turd. IMHO, that vert as is..I wouldn't touch for more than 15k.

It looked like the car sat in a dirt floor barn for years...and the moisture just soaked in and sat..

Still kicking around letting her go.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

Hello Pontiac Fans, I am new to this forums, but I would like to find 67 Vert-Roller 400...something straight and doesn't need tons of body work. Time isn't on my side...I have ALS and would like to finish it and leave it to my grand kids. I live in Ky. I own a 68 vert that needs too much body work, but has great interior and new 400 motor and new 700r4 auto thanks.
