Please mark your calendars now to come out to this show in August.
We are planning this to be our biggest event of the year for 2014 and are asking everyone in the Midwest to bring their Firebirds out for this weekend show. The Firebird is the featured car this year, and we are working closely with the Crusin Tigers club to do some special things for the FGF's that come out. We will also present a special one-of-a-kind, Midwest Firebirds custom-made trophy for the best 67, 68 and 69 Firebird, and feature them on our website.
We are also very pleased to say that the Midwest Firebirds First Generation Firebird Club will be the featured club of the event. Please come out and support us, it should be a great time!
We have 22 confirmed first gen Firebirds as of today.
If there is any way you can come out to this event it will be worth your time. The quality of fgf's that are coming out is huge, with several rare cars like rare Trans Am's (think one of 7), Ram Air cars, 400 HO cars & national award-winning birds. This is an All-Pontiac event with over 400 other Pontiacs to see as well.

Here's a brief agenda if anyone can come for all or part of it:
Friday night (optional for those in town) we will be at the Rolling Meadows (IL) car show at 5pm. Great show, all make s and models - usually get 400 cars there.
Saturday - Our club will be parking 'birds starting at 8am. FGF's with our club - all others by year.... Premier parking for all Firebirds and Trans Ams. Speakers & swap meet throughout the day, all make & model cruise in at 3 pm.
Sunday - Main event indoor and outdoor Pontiac only car show. Swap meet, speakers etc. Awards and finish at 3pm.
Tim Dye, curator of the Pontiac Oakland Auto Museum will be judging our FGF's on both Saturday and Sunday. You can still win our custom trophy for the best FGF of show by year, even if you only make one of the two days.
Wow, what a great turn out of FGF's. I am still recovering, but hope to start posting soon about some of the great cars that I took pictures of. Saturday we had 24 FGF's and then on Sunday there were 37 FGF's.
Sleddog, it was great meeting you and your family.
Thanks to everyone that made it and all who joined our club. We had such a great time.
Thanks Ken, it was great to finally meet you and I enjoyed meeting your family as well. It was great to meet some of the other club members too! I never dreamed there would be that many FGF'S all in one place at the same time EVER. There were even some outside the show as well, and the owners were just out running errands or cruising! On the way home I also saw what looked like a 69 solar red vert for sale for 11,500! Didn't get a chance to stop as we were late for the party though

Here's our first post with my comments, pictures of show winners and some of the great people that were there including Jim Wangers. Enjoy - but there will be more posts over the next few days, with over 40 different FGF's over the two days, there are a lot of great pictures to go through!!
