Thought this was sort of weird. I was driving the bird around for probably 45 minutes. I bring it into the driveway and go in side for 15 minutes but when I come out to start the car it won't start.
I tried a few things and found that it would start fine if I put it into neutral.
Anyone come across this problem before? I think I might need to try and fix it this weekend as I wanted to take the car to the Indian Uprising show Tomorrow.
when you say wont start? as in it turns over but wont fire? or when you turn the key nothing happens? could be vapor lock. it is a Carb issue, the heat soak causes the fuel to vaporize.
You may 1st want to check the neutral start switch to make sure it is not loose and just moved. They are quite adjustable and could have moved enough to block making contact in Park which is at the end of it's upper range.
There is an alignment hole it it and I check it with an unbent paperclip. See the last page of Section 7E here:
