Can any one please tell me the difference between the 67 and 68 fold down rear seat. Are they compatible and what are all the parts required for my 68?

Penny, don't quote me on this but i believe there is a difference in the way it latches to the back, between 67 and 68/69.

I believe David is right, that the latch and catch is different from 67 to 68, but either will work just fine if you can get all the mechanisms/hardware for it.

I'd still like to add one to mine just for the kool factor some day!

I Have a friend in Victoria, Karl with a white 69 Drop top, and his son Brandon has a 69 H.O. Coupe... I think one of them had the fold down... then I know a few in the BC area with them... but only on may have it in a 67? Ken Reimer?

They're actually useful for traveling with luggage, coolers, etc.

67 fold downs have clips to hold it. Some say if you make a hard stop it comes down. 68 has a latch on the passanger side that has to be relesed for the seat to come down. The seat also has a notch in the upper corner to access the latch.
