When I bought my bird last year it had just had new rear springs installed. Now I completely rebuilt the steering and put new front springs. I just finished putting new subframe bushings in. Now it squeeks horribly. the noise seems to be comming from the area of the rear spring shackles. Do they need lubed or would the bushings be bad allready? thanks Louie
If the weight of the body was up on jackstands, not on the suspension, before tightening the spring eyebolts the rubber bushings could be twisted, causing a squeak against the steel.
