My wife and I came across a 1967 Firebird with the 326 in it and jumped on it earlier this year. Ideally we would keep the car and I would restore it myself. However, we are thinking about selling it to pay off some debts so we can buy a house that we know will be coming on the market in the spring.

Therefore, we are gauging interest to see if selling it would actually get us to the point we are hoping. I will attach some pictures. Also, I have purchased new seat vinyl, headliner, and carpet as well as a new rear bumper. These have not been installed but I probably will soon (unless someone REALLY wants to buy it without them installed!)

The car is not perfect, but looks pretty good for never having a professional restoration. My father and I tuned up the engine and it is running well. There is currently no radio. If I put the interior things in that I already have I will probably put a radio in it.

Please feel free to email me at peshields@bsu.edu. We are located in Indiana slightly northeast of Muncie.

Thanks,
Patrick

Interesting set of options:

Bench seat, no console/column shift, no A/C

But a deluxe interior.

And what's with the funny car exhaust?

I agree the exhaust is bad looking. Should I keep it that will be getting changed back to a stock look. Previous owner had that put on.

i thought it was wierd to have the deluxe interior as well seeing as everything else was base!

LOL!!!!! at the Exhaust. That was worth it... what are you looking to get for it as it sits? You only have 20 foot pics. I think if you had pics of the quarters, under carriage trunk etc... it would be nice

Best way to gauge interest is to list a price.

I will try to remember to get closer pics tomorrow.

As far as the condition goes, each rear quarter has been repaired above the wheel well. The repair is fairly poor, so being redone is in the future for it to be a show car.

There have been patch panels put in the floorboards and trunk. There is a hole in the trunk that needs patched where the previous owner cut it to access the bolt to put new leaf springs on the driver side. It does have all new leaf springs and gas tank.

Previous owner also repaired some trouble spots on the rear of the frame and covered it in a black roofing pitch to protect against further rust.

As far as price goes, I'm thinking $12,000. I will get pictures of the areas anyone would like to see and get them posted.

Cutting off the exhaust pipes at the turn downs would easily make it more sellable.
And level the rear end some.
Just say'n...

Sorry to say but with all the needed repairs I would think you are going to be a long way from your target. Maybe you can talk them down another $8k off the house. Good luck.
