I had been shopping around for a nice tool chest. I had went around looking at different ones and really liked the quality of the professional tool chest like Viking, homak, and excel. The metal of the professional tool chest were heavier gauge and double wall. The overall quality was a lot better compared to Sears craftsman heavy duty but the price was about double too. So I kept looking and decided on the Craftsman HD tool chest. I purchased the top chest because the price was good but I still liked those pro boxes.

Well, yesterday I stopped at our local Harbor Freight. They had a US General 26 tool chest Cabinet Combo on sale for 299.00. Link

The quality of these US General tool chest is just like those pro series boxes. Heavy gauge metal quality construction and the price of a standard craftsman tool chest. It is unbelievable how well this is made for that price. I ended up buying it. Thought I would just sell the craftsman top tool chest I got earlier.

Anyway thought I would put my thoughts about it here in case anyone is looking for a quality tool chest. You cant go wrong with that one. They have larger chest available too Link
