I received a sail panel set from classic industries and installed them. Within two days the backing came undone and they fell down shown in the pics. I contacted classic and received another set of panels. These I did not glue the seems yet inserted the clips. When I went to glue the seam I decided to check the backing and the video shows my findings. The backings were again messed up. I contact classic and they said the manufacturer will not warranty them since it appears we used "excessive force" on the backing part. Classic will however issue a refund if I send them back. My brother has a 69 nova and the interior door panels started bubbling so he had to go through the same thing with sending back the panels and all. Does classic not provide good quality interior parts? Does anyone know of a good place to buy these? I also received a dome reflector and it is oblonged and I may send that back also.
I've been watching your post as I removed the original sail panels and headliner from my car last Sunday in anticipation of getting the body done. My local upholstery shop told me to buy the new headline/sail panels form Legendary. He does a lot of vintage car work. While I haven't purchased them yet, I already bought seat covers from them. The seat covers look great and appear to be very high quality. Might be worth a look. If you find something please post as I am very much interested.
