Hood tach dismantle

I thought I would try to get a little info before taking apart my tach. I am talking a stock tach. What is involved?

It comes apart fairly easily. Couple of screws underneath to open her up. They be covered with silicon or gasket material. Try to save your gasket.

The circuit diagram at Figure 8 looks close to the components on the tach board in your photos.
