had my car idling in yard. i had blew the horn a couple of times about 20 min. earlier. then white smoke started coming out of the column around the cruze and blinker switch , fire wall in engine compartment were column passes though . any help in what i should do next, or what it could be thanks

cruise control, wire. three very thin wire that work my cruz. must have pushed the button while driving. makes me sick to think that i just walked back outside and the car had been running for five minute in the driveway. i went inside to tell my wife to hurry up.(brushing hair to ride in a convt, go figure) i decided to go get gas while waiting, opened the door and poof. i shall sacrifice a virgin chicken to the firebird gods on the next full moon, for my good fortune .
