OK, so I don't know if this even allowed on this site or not, but for those of you interested in doing a LS swap into your Firebird, I have been documenting it on another site. You can find it here. I know it hasn't been updated in a while, but I haven't really had to buy many parts for the LS swap itself lately. I have been spending on stuff like interior, a/c and and about to buy a set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges for it. All that is really left is to deal with the suspension, the rear end, and wheels and tires. I have a guy I trust to supply the LS engines, although he typically deals in truck motors, but I will tell you that even with my iron block LQ9, 1 1/2 coils had to be cut out of the springs. I'm likely going to go with a set of QA 1 coil overs, but like I said, suspension is still up in the air.

Cool Build! I don't know if I have another build in me or not but my next itch will be an LS powered something. Keep the info coming.
Thanks
Thanks, Dennis

Part of what makes my cars so enjoyable to me are the old poncho power plants. If I wanted an LS powered car I'd buy a 2000 Camaro.

To each their own. I wrestled with what motor to go with, even building a 455, but in the end, I wanted drivability and mileage out of it. I had purchased a Holley HP efi setup as well, but with the issues I had with it on my dad's '65 Mustang, I figured I'd go with the LS swap. If my car had the original motor that might have been a different story, but not much of it was original by the time I got it, so I was less inclined to take it back to that spec.

It sounded like you were expecting some negative comments. I didn't want to let you down.
