I rebuilt my engine and pulled the transmission at the same time. It's running and driving now, but I can only start the 69 firebird 350 2 barrel th350 in neutral. Where is the neutral safety switch? I took apart the console, but I dont see any electrical wires. Is the neutral safety switch somewhere under the dash?
The switch is on the steering column on the 69. You might try to turn your steering column behind the steering wheel on the column .Hope that helps a little.
You need to do some adjusting on the linkage going to the transmission. Put the car in park and loosen the cable on the transmission. Re-tighten after and try again.
