Does anyone have a pic of how a fan shroud is mounted on a 68, and possibly the shroud out of the car as well. I have a shroud that the PO claimed was for the car, but I'm not sure that it is. I'm also not sure how they mount. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Don't have any shots of one installed, but here are a couple of pictures of an original:

Or, if it doesn't have to be exactly correct, you can do like we use to do with our race cars--fabricate--rig it--make it work--whatever it takes ! It's a proven method that has worked for thousands of low buck racers.
Maybe Harold can pipe in, but I think there is a special bracket or two that is not repopped for fgf shroud mounting. The link you sent looks more like typical body mount hardware. The top bracket looks correct. I may have an xtra one of those lying around.
It's been too many years since I have had one apart.
Sorry.

There is a special bracket, classic re-pops them and so do others. . i believe it mounts on the pass side- but I could be wrong- its been a while since I looked.

I'm east of marion about 2 miles. You're right though, not. Many around. When they see me driving around they look at me like they saw a ghost😃 . I can't remember the last time I've seen a fgf on the road. I know a few guys that have them though. I met a guy last year that has a 67 solar gold 4 speed, 400 all original with 60,000 miles. Would love to get my hand s on that one. From what i understood, it was a viet nam casualty. Hard to comprehend what the parents had to deal with. Hopefully I never have to. I want my boys to inheret mine, not inheret theirs😞
