So, I'm hooking up my windshield wiper hoses and found a vacuum hose feeding thru the driver's side fireball near the brake booster and windshield wiper motor. Any idea what that hose goes to?

Do you have air conditioning? The vents are vacuum controlled. I cannot recall where the line passes through the firewall (I can look if you want).

I'm curious if that would be a factory location to run the vacuum line into the car.

Yes, I do have A/C. Would that be the hose that connects to the hollow vacuum carb stud (passenger side) on the 4 barrel Quadrajet?

Yes, the AC vacuum line runs from that special hollow manifold stud to an accumulator can within the fender and leaves the car to pass through the firewall below and to the left of the wiper/washer and behind the brake booster.

So I traced the lines and it looks like to smaller hose coming through the firewall hooks into the small outlet at the vacuum canister. The large hose coming off the vacuum canister (there are 2 hose coming off the canister) goes to the carb. Please confirm that this the correct connection. I think that's what you said...just want to be sure..

That is correct. I just checked mine again.

How is the hose routed from the carb to the vacuum canister? Is it neat and out of the way, or is it more of a straight shot across?

Its just runs along the firewall, but its a 5/32" hose until you get under the fender it opens up with a fitting to a 7/32" hose.
