Looking at replacing FL factory caliper with hairline crack. Best deal I've seen is from Rock Auto. Anyone have experience with this company? Seems considerably cheaper than other companies calipers.

I use rock auto a lot. They are fine. If you order a bunch of items you have to watch shipping. Sometimes they may sent a bunch of parts from many different warehouses and shipping starts to get expensive but it shows you the details in the shopping cart.

What year? Single or 4 piston?

I always replace mine in pairs if one goes bad..however, your caliper was cracked so not that the piston/s hanging up.

Paid $89 for 67 calipers and believe the 4 pistons are $160.

If its cracked you will have to replace it, depending how old the other caliper is, I would replace the rubber hose and rebuild the caliper at the same time.

Rock Auto is fine. Like mentioned above watch the shipping.
I would replace the calipers in pairs.

It's for a '68 so 4 piston. rock had them for about $90 after core return. Going to try the one first and see how it performs. On the smaller side as far as overall cost for budget, but I do know all the smaller things start to add up.

Don't forget...the price is for the return of a rebuildable core. If cracked, dont count on getting the $60 for the core.

And it's going to cost you $10-12 to ship that bad caliper out on a crapshoot...so....

BTW. where did this thing crack? Bore or pin boss?
