I think I need to replace my drivers side front directional socket/housing. Parking light works fine, but when I put on the left directional both the left and right blink. Right works fine. I'm thinking I have a short or bad socket. I've cleaned the socket and it worked for a little while but seems to be persistent now.
Before I dig in, does the housing have a connector that plugs in some where under the front cowling to the main harness or is it hard wired and I'll need to splice it in? Or any other suggestions on a fix?
You will have to splice it in it is part of the front lighting harness but that sounds like grounding problem there . I had a similar problem and found that one of the ground wires had come lose from the core support or in your case the ground block on the support
Agree. I had a whole bunch of front light grounding issues on my '67. Very frustrating.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
