Hello all, i'm new here, so take it easy on me, lol... I just bought a 67 Firebird restoration project. It has a 68 350 in it and a 4 speed. I was going to install the linkage between the Z bar and clutch fork and realized it was way to long, even adjusted as short as it goes. I looked at the Z bar and realized someone cut one of the arms off and welded it in a different spot, so I ordered a new Z bar. I received it today and was going to install it, thats when I realized why the original was cut and re welded, the inside arm of the Z bar hits the header. Has anyone ever seen this problem? The headers on it are old Headman 3 tube headers. I took the header off and obviously everything fits and works perfectly. I really want to use headers instead of exhaust manifolds. Any suggestions on headers?? Thanks,Mike
