I thought perhaps someone could benefit from my experience putting on new outside door handles with the window still installed. This is a very difficult job in my opinion because you are working pretty much blind installing the two bolts that hold the handles on. First I took a piece of very fine steel wire and fished it through the hole back by the push button. I wrapped this around one of the bolts and drew it up and into the hole in the door. Next I took painters tape and taped the handle to the door leaving enough room that I could see the rear bolt was going to meet the threads in the handle. Next I secured the front bolt which was lined up pretty well once I taped the handle to the door. Now there was more support and alignment help for the rear bolt. With some uncomfortable finger work I got the rear bolt threads started and then just patiently kept at it with a box wrench. When I was sure the rear bolt was threading in OK I gave a tug on the wire and got it off the bolt. The wire trick saved me countless cases of dropping the bolt and starting over. As I say, I hope this helps someone. Doug
