I believe could be a bad leaf spring, but all were fine prior to disassembly, when I reinstalled the new brackets and used springs now leans to one side. Does anyone have pics of multi leaf spring installation. Also installed new shocks, thanks
I had the same thoughts Harold. If they were good before hand, it is very doubtful you broke a leaf while reinstalling them. If they broke during installation, you would have heard them pop. While mine are mono leafs, I leave both front and back shackles loose until weight is on the car, then torque them.
I would agree that it sounds like an installation issue. I did this same thing and had to loosen all the bolts and re tighten with the suspension loaded.
One spring could definitely be weaker but if it was good before removal and re-installation you wouldn't think that would be your issue. New gas shocks will add 40# of spring rate. If one side or the other needs a spacer because the mountings are farther apart, that could account for a sag. Probably it's like everybody says and some of the spring mounts are binding.
ok, so I loosened everything and let it sit still the same, I actually disconnected the shocks no change, so I am thinking of switching the leaf springs. The difference between sides is about an an inch and a half
So I removed entire rear end and switched the springs, still the same ? Going to concentrate on front end, driver side rear is the one that's low, saw that driver side front upper control arm is closer than the passenger side to the frame. May throw in some coil spacers to see, any suggestions appreciated

I would not expect the front end to severely affect the rear height. You did the most logical thing to check the springs which one would normally suspect. The other thing I'd check if it were mine is to look for a modification or collision or rust damage that could adversely affect the mounting points. Was this a drag car at one point? someone may have set it up that way on purpose to limit wheel spin. I would think that kind of modification would be obvious but who knows.
