Im gathering parts to swap my 68 bird back to 4spd. Its a 400/400 auto now but was born a 350 4spd per PHS documentation. My question is will the Camaro big block linkage kits work on the Firebirds or are they a different animal? I understand the bellhousing, flywheel and even the pedals are different but cant find anything on the linkage and z bar.

Be aware of aftermarket parts. Had a problem with aftermarket clutch fork. It wasn't formed the same as the factory fork and would hit the firewall before releasing the clutch.
I appreciate the replies. Think I'm gonna just take my time and keep collecting original parts. I may just get her going with the auto and change over later. Not gonna hurt to have a few extra original pontiac parts around anyway.

Looks like this is gonna happen! Bought a nice muncie m21 today at the corvette expo. So now I'm hunting a bellhousing, flywheel and shifter. Thanks again for your help!
