Hey all. Back on my feet after having a second heart attack and surgery for another stent the first of this month. All in all I am feeling pretty good. Haven't been online in a while and wanted to stop here today. I have been thinking that it may be time for me to sell off some of my "toys" over the next few months. The guys that have been around for a while know my car and the restoration I did. Just wanting to get a feel for what you guys think bird values are these days. The car is not perfect but its a really nice driver with every nut and bolt replaced, rebuilt or refinished. The 428 runs like an ape and she gets lots of looks. I am thinking mid 20's. Realistic or to optimistic?

Prices seem to be down from what I've been seeing. Maybe they will go back to a respectable level next spring?
Hope your health continues to improve. thanks for letting us know what's going on.

Hang in there Larry. The cars won't sell well up here. Dollar and oil goes down much more we will be burning 100 bills this winter to keep warm. Cheers!

Just a wake up call telling you that you need to get out and enjoy all your toys( especially your bird) more than you have been. Health care is friggin incredible in the 21st century. You might live to be 104 and youll be happier if you have your bird.

Glad to hear your doing ok after all of that. Take that stuff seriously and keep an eye on things.
As for the Bird, I agree, between now and April is the time to buy (Holiday Bills and taxes are due so people tend to sell in desperation, so it's a good time to buy) After that is a better time to sell as the weather get's better and people get the itch to get out and play. But as it was mentioned, perhaps you'll realize you can sell one of the other toys easier and will be able to get out and enjoy the bird more! Hope it works out for you either way.
Do some searches on line for 68 400 4-speed cars (eBay, ClassicCars.com, Traderonline, a craigslist search engine etc) to get a good idea on where others are pricing their toys. Yours with a 428 should be even more desirable to most... just some food for thought...
Glad to hear from you - Brett!
