Finally. I know others have sourced something that sorta worked but here is an official repop.

THIS CAP HAS BEEN UNAVAILABLE FOR MANY YEARS. WITH ITS REAR HANDLE TABS AND LACK OF EARS ON THE OUTER EDGE, THIS CAP WILL WORK ON THE UNIQUE FILLER USED ON THESE EARLY FIRST GENERATION FILLER NECKS. QUALITY IS VERY GOOD. BRIGHT ZINC PLATED WITH "ANTI SURGE" "VENTED" EMBOSSING.

hello guys, theres no picture posted on Ames yet. I've been watching for a new cap but I need a non-vented that sounds like the description at ames.
any ideas where I can find them?

bill, the non-vented ('69) caps are all over Epay. Unless you have a non stock set-up, it would be the cap with the 'ears'.
I think there was a member or two on this site selling them as well.

I got suck with two 69 GM caps after someone said they would work on 67-68 if anyone wants one.

thanks 68. I've never seen one on eBay like ours
when I get a chance I'll take a picture and post it. maybe it doesn't belong on the bird
it's a non vented , round barrel with wings on top
it's also deeper in length then most caps
