Have few sets of mostly engine parts under benches for over 20 yrs. Some good shape, others fair. Water pumps, distributors, A/T flywheels, engine bolts, etc. Think a TH375 unknown condition. Doesn't look like a regular th350. TH400 manual v/b that probly needs rebuilt(out of a 68 GTO with blown engine(never should of sold that car, damit). An old crappy set of RAIII exhaust manifolds and good intake from a 70 TA never use.
Then there's the xx400 from totaled 78TA with about 15k miles out of my first 68FB that I parted out 30 years ago after a girl hit it to hard to repair. WOW, been that long. Jt needs cleaned up and assembled.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I feel like I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe. 1968 400 convertible (Scarlet) 1976 T/A - 455 LE (No Burt) 1976 T/A New baby, starting full restoration. 1968 350 - 4 speed 'vert - 400 clone (the Beast!) 1968 350 convertible - Wife's car now- 400 clone (Aleutian Blue) (Blue Angel) 2008 Durango - DD 2008 GXP - New one from NH is AWESOME! 2017 Durango Citadel - Modern is nice! HEMI is amazing! 1998 Silverado Z71 - Father-daughter project 1968 400 coupe - R/A clone (Blue Pearl) (sold) 1967 326 convertible - Sold 1980 T/A SE Bandit - Sold
Have scraped some. Cant get my self to do the rest, yet....
Forgot, reason never tried to sell the 400 because the vin # was hammer center punched out when I bought it from a body shop. Didn't notice till after getting home. Was complete with transmission with only 3500 miles on odometer. Whole side of TA was smashed in. Didn't even think about it being stolen....
I started going through and selling off/giving away a lot of my parts pile a couple of years ago. I don't mind giving stuff to somebody if I think they are going to use it and not just turn around and sell it. It comes back around eventually.on the other hand the ram air stuff sounds like you could turn them into some cash. Or at least trade for something you want but don't want to spend cash on. I personally would rather trade instead of sell. Just seems friendlier.
Guess i must be a bit of a hoarder. Ive dragged car parts across 2 countries and 3 states. 'Just in case'. I also prefer to give stuff away although i finally sold a B.O.P diff thats been carried across 3 states and now im regretting it....good candidate for the 69.....damnit
