i finally fixed my dash lights which i am happy as hell about! now when i was pulling stuff i found these two lightbulb sockets on each side. I dont know what these are for can someone tell me ?

Download the Ames catalog. There's a chart with all the bulbs in there somewhere. Get the number for the bulb and head over to the auto parts store. They should be available.
I found similar light sockets behind the dash of my 69....one each side. Dont know why they had been hidden and not used but when connected and working, they look awesome at night with the door open
Sometimes if they are not grounded properly or if there is a problem with the door switches they will stay on after the doors are shut thus draining the battery. I suspect some people would just find it easier to remove the bulbs instead of taking the time to fix what's wrong.
