I just installed the new chrome windshield molding.....did I screw up....I have a new rear view mirror and can't figure out how it mounts........Was it supposed to go on BEFORE the chrome moldings?
The rear view mirror mounts to a bracket on the inside of the car. It would have nothing to do with the exterior windshield chrome.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. The 68 rear view mirror mounts or screws from the underside where that hole is, I assume the 67 will be the same. Turn the bracket over and se if it aligns with the holes under the windshield frame. The 68 has a plastic trim piece that slides over the bracket and screw into that screw hole in the center of that big cut out covering that big hole in your picture.
