summit is calling for this hood latch for my 67... my current latch looks nothing like that.. its more flat and rectangle shape.. I have the 400 hood... that cant be the correct latch right??

I guess I don't understand.... I bought a new 400 style hood.. it said the 67 latch would need modification / changed to a 68 style.. anyone known for sure what needs to be changed?
Yes, there are some minor differences between the two years, but the outward appearance is generally the same and nothing like what you linked.

I got a new 68 latch... the 67 had a lever to open the hood.. did the 68 have a cable??!?!??! the 67 lever isn't compatible with the new latch and it didn't come with one...
thanks for the pics.. worth a 1000 words.. I apparently got a 69 latch cause it looks nothing like that... the pics look closer to the original 67 latch....
