I am getting ready to buy all new parts for steering system for my 69. Centerlink, inner and outer tie rods,idler arm. Can i use the equivalent camaro parts on firebird? I can buy them thru my camaro catalog for significantly less than firebird parts. If i can do it, can i use my existing power steering pitman arm or will i need to buy the camaro one?

Sorry guys should have done a search before posting this question. Did find a similar post stating you can use Camaro setup but might have to replace pitman arm. So i guess the only real question i have is do i have to replace pitman arm for sure?

I did a partial rebuild. I used the existing center link and inner rods. I replaced the outer and used Camaro outer tie-rods. I had to cut them down about 3/4 inch. The metal is an easy cut with a hand hacksaw. Then, buff the end with a grinder. The car is a 67 though. GOOD LUCK
