After switching from points to HEI, I got my tach to work by running a new wire from the distributor. Now my hood tach is not accurate. Shows idle at 200 rpm and I hooked up a new tach to test which shows 900 rpms. Is there a cheap way to fix or do I have to send it to RC Tachs? Thanks!!

Mine didn´t work at all after change and no matter what we did we couldn´t get it to understand new signal from HEI. I had to order repro tach. Works perfect.
