After more than 12 years I am really stoked about my bird getting paint. Borrowed paint scheme from Firebird Frostbite and added Drew Helms stinger hood idea. Can't wait to get it home and finish putting it back together.

I ordered the scoop online, I don't remember the name of the company since it was probably 6 years ago. It fit perfect over the base model hood. I wish the guy that put it on would have set it back 2" more but I like it. He used the adhesive they use to set corvette panels and then blended it in, that hood is not going to move.

Looking good! Nice twist to make it your own and different from the rest. Great color combo... Can't wait to see it all put back together, bet you can't either?

I pick it up this Saturday, can't wait to see it in the sunlight. Color is Supersonic blue metallic from 2011 vette. Yeah I am super excited. Brought home on car dolly and in boxes in 2004, been a long time comin'. I will post picks when I pick it up.

A couple more pics from the body shop after polishing. Look at the reflection, you can even see the guys tattoo on his hand.

I do like the stinger scoop look a lot but I hope you have better luck with the scoop than I did. It kept cracking where I glassed onto the hood. Just too much movement.after the third time I put my old hood back on. Somebody posted some pics of their hood design that I like much better. All welded steel. I may have to give it a try.

Brought my "Bird home yesterday from the painter Had to throw some emblems and wheels on her immediate. The color changes a lot in different light, not something I had expected. It will go from black to light blue depending on shading.
