need a little help here guys. I have a 68 bird with standard windows , A friend of mine has A 1970 chevelle that he decided needed power windows . Needless to say he wrecked the car and during the time it was in the bodyshop he bought a 2005 mustang gt , now the car and the complete power window setup are going to be sold . Could this power window system work in my firebird ? what mods would have to be made to make them work ? would it be worth it ? I probably could get the setup for $250.00 complete .
Ray,first, welcome to the site! I don't think the chevelle setup will work in your bird.I think you need bird regulators and the motors may differ as well.Don't quote me on this.Someone else will pipe in shortly to help confirm.

IF, they were close enough or say if you were changing from standard Bird window regulators to power bird regulators you would still have quite a bit of work to do as far as the door panels and all... but seeing as these are from the Larger bodied car, I agree, and don't think they would work (than again, anything can be "made" to work) Lol..
But, you may want to pick them up if you can get them for a good price, and sell them yourself! Just don't tell your buddy what you get for them on eBay! Lol...
They are nice on a convertible. You don't have to reach around in back and roll your rear windows down for the total top down experience. I have converted a few cars and it's hard enough when you have the right parts. Camaro parts are a direct bolt in, after you drill the holes that is.. Jim
