Found the ashtray courtesy light assy and looking to find out where the light socket end plugs in on the instrument panel. I have the rally gauges. The options would be fuel gage lighting, oil pressure, ammeter or temp gage. Thanks in advance.

One of the dash light bulb sockets has a socket for the fiber cable. Mine isn't gauges but I cannot think it matters.

The sockets installed are all the same, but I do have the correct socket in hand and connected to the fiber optic cable, just trying to find out if there was a factory "correct" place to plug in on the gauge panel. I'm sure it doesn't matter where and will work on any socket, but am thinking there was a dedicated place for this thingy...

I'll use the 69 FB reference, it shows to plug into the top right on the back of the instrument panel...

Yes, that is correct. The ignition one goes below that one. This is a pic of a 68 dash with optics for ashtray and ignition.

No prob. It looks like it would be fairly simple to fab if you cant find one. I have never seen a re-pop of that ring, just the mount that goes on the back of the instrument panel.
