In the process of installing 4 spd in my 67 and while I was at it I wanted to put in new body bushings. Everything was going well until I realized there are 3 sizes of bushings. The front one is smaller but the one directly behind the front wheels and the one under the seat are the same diameter but one is thicker than the other. I could not tell from the old ones which was which. Can anyone shed some light?
There's a very good description on how to tell each of the 3 types of bushings apart in the Camaro Restoration Handbook by Ron Sessions.
If somebody has a copy handy they can type the description (I'm at work). I may have done that once here in the Tech Session. Do a search.

I am in the process of doing mine on my 67,400.I do have a diagram that came with the bushings. The smallest go up front. The thickest go in the middle and the mid-sized ones go under the front seats. Now getting them there is the fun part! good luck.
I'm interested in knowing if the vibration is significantly different with solid aluminum bushings compared with the original rubber ones. Has anyone swapped in the solid type in place of rubber ones that were in satisfactory condition and can describe the differences?
