Looks good. What's that plate under the pipes right behind the cross over? Skid plate? Body bracket? Is that a convertible? I had to tweak mine a bit, the tailpipe liked to hit the spring or the lip of the body, made quite a racket when vibrating on the body panel.
That brace and the subframe connectors should stiffen things up a bit. Did you put solid body mounts in when you installed the frame connectors? Looks like your headers have been doing battle with speedbumps???
That tranny mount is heavy duty! Everything is high and tight. I have fairly new rubber body mounts, but still plenty of vibration being transferred into my seat...kinda like a high horse power massage.
Yeah! Nothing like paying the extra nickel for ceramic coated heads, and leaving some of it on the bumps of New Orleans streets! I added 1/2" spacers to the front springs, raising the car up 1" in front. I love the look, and hope this will he;lip in that regard.
I can't tell you how much happier I am with these new mufflers. Love the deep, "quiet" tone at idle and cruise ... and nasty "BRAP" when you stick it.
I'm a hobbyist. Not a professional. Don't be hatin'!
My coupe exhaust rattled at the tail pipe section between the leaf springs and the lower quarter panel. Is the pipe held at the frame with rubber insulators? You don't have much room there with the big chrome tip. As you know, the stock spliters have a crease so they don't come in contact with the body. I'm putting these on my vert.

What type of mufflers did u go with? I think u leave more than a little on the street of New Orleans, sometimes the bottom half of the car. Where did u get the frame connectors from?
Hey Bronze I'm over in metairie now, lived uptown for a little time. I think chuck's is over almost under the bridge off of chef. I have known some people who had lived in gentilly over the years. I had a new exhaust put on my car back in Feb. It cost about the same as what you got. I went with flowmaster, yes they are a little loud but I can always do the cross pipe with a smaller pipe coming out the mufflers to lower the sound. What gear are you running in the rear end?

DynaFlow mufflers. Flow masters were too loud for a convertible...in my opinion.
Dude,
How do you like the DynaFlow? Got any drone with them?

Thanks man, I'll look into them. Not really seeing much under Dynaflow- always leads me to Flowmaster or DynoMax. Is one of them a parent company?

I run the UltraFlo welded mufflers by DynoMax/Walker. Really like them. When I started researching mufflers I read that they offered the least amount of back pressure of most others and they denoted the closest to open headers too, as far as horse power numbers. I walk d out of Summit and opened the box as soon as I got to the car. I could see why. It looked like you could stick your arm right thru. Surprisingly they are not all that loud( of course I'm clinically deaf so that may have something to do with it too). Pypes website used to have sound bites for almost every muff sold so you could kind of hear what they sound like.j
Check out the YouTube in my sig if you want to hear the ultraflos.
Look into the Gurlich Xcellerator's. I like them on my vert. no drone, but nice growl when hammered. Jim Hand's book talked about them and the 99% flow rates - nice write up on them.

That is an awesome cackle! Accurate description, almost sounds like the glass packs I had on prior. Sounds fantastic, but I think the wife would be complaining about the noise cause it's a vert and has 3:90's in the rear. I need something with a growl, no drone and not to loud.

Those sound nice as well, wondering how much it would pound in the ears of the back seat passengers on hwy cruises with the 3:90's.

Thanks. They aren't too loud now that the headers are installed. I can hold a conversation inside the car while cruising on the freeway. No drone either. It was louder with the long branches. I don't know how they would be on a vert. Back seat might be another story. Mines always folded down so nobody rides back there.
