I have a trunk light mounted in the trunk lid but it doesn't have a switch. It isn't a mercury type switch...does anyone know what the 'correct' set-up is?? And if so, any pics where the switch might be located would be great.

Another question, how does the center dash bezel come off? I'm installing a radio this weekend...

The center bezel has screws on the bottom, near the ashtray. Pull those, plus the ones inside the ashtry "holder".

The bezel "hooks" on the top of the dash. Once the screws are out on th bottom, the whole piece swings up from the bottom and unhooks from the top.

And the trunk light should be a mercury type unit.
At least that's what I've heard too... I don't have one yet, but it's on the list. If your having problems with it, check the mounting screw to make sure it's grounding well enough. Usually it's the simple things, and usually a poor ground!

I not sure about the 68 but the 69 trunk light only comes on when the park or headlights are on. Barry

Rob, Brett and Barry, thanks for the reply's...it is a mercury light. I took the fixture out and grounded it and then checked it with a meter. You can actually feel the 'stuff' moving back and forth when you move the fixture.

Now for the next question, what bulb does it take...

My owners manual had a page in it showing all the numbers for the bulbs on the car. Barry.
