I saw that the formerly unaccounted for 8th '69 TA vert had been found and restored. Does anybody know the full story; where heb it been all these years, who found it where and what condition?
Maybe it was discussed here before, bit I couldn't find anything.
On Facebook Midwest Firebird club was on scene and videoed the unveiling. The owner was giving a brief history about it. It was in a car crash in 1970 and put in a junk yard were it was slowly salvaged of parts. I'll see if I can find a link for the video.
Thanx.Amazing. Is it numbers matching; did they find the original engine?
I And how could it stay under the radar for so long? I mean, even in '73, when it was supposably wrecked, it must have been a very rare and well known car.And this guy owned it for 25 years and was gathering parts he said?
Hmmm. Yeah very strange indeed. There have been rumors for years about someone having seen the missing one. Supposedly it all fit on one pallet. Basically a motor and the cowl plate. I'm sure someone has pics of the VIN stampings and such to substantiate their claims. At least they weren't saying it as one of one because it had a different color glove box liner or some such nonsense. I hate when they do that.
