One of our Midwest Firebirds club members is looking for an original '67 326HO air cleaner. Here is his description of the one he is looking for: "I have a 67 326 4 barrel carb in need of the original H.O. air cleaner, as such looks as original 2 barrel air cleaner, but the snorkel out of air cleaner is oval and flatter in appearance not tubular as in the 2 barrel snorkel." "If you were to google 67 firebird H.O. one should be able to see the original type that I require. Not an easy one to find, not flat chrome pancake type as in 400 engine."
Please pm back to me if you wish to contact him.

Just going to say that 'google an image of this search and you should/could/might/ be able to find what I'm looking for' is a pain. Rant over; not at you Jim, just the requestor you posted up for. Is there a consensus on the 67 326 4 barrel air filter? Google images doesn't quickly return a decisive picture. Anybody care to post the RIGHT pic? I may have one.
[quote=fire]Ok guys.
In 1967- there were 6 different (part numbers) air cleaners that were used for the birds with a 4bbl 326 engine.................. There were 6 differing engine applications- and 6 differing air cleaners (part numbers)
There were also 5 different (part numbers) air cleaners that were used for the birds with a 4bbl 400 engine.................... There were 6 differing applications- however only 5 differing air cleaners (part numbers)
I have not included 67 birds with a 2bbl application above.

Good point mope. Our Midwest Firebirds president sent us a recent email with this picture from HPP to show what the 326HO owner is looking for:
If the HD option on the '67 326HO is like the one for the '68 400's, the part numbers only meant a different sticker on the outside to show the HD filter element with the foam wrap. The other part numbers options for different emissions requirements might be plumbing differences?????

I seem to be missing one (from my highly accurate mental inventory), but no matches here.
