When driving the car and going over dips/bumps in the road, the front end sometimes squeaks a bit. Is this easily corrected with some type of lubrication, or could it point to a more serious problem? I'm not sure where to start on this.
If it has the newer style poly bushings it will squeak. If your ball joints need grease it may squeak. There will be a greaser fitting on each ball joint. If it's the control arm bushings it's a little more serious. Jim
I have tried spraying wd-40 on everything in sight underneath the front end. Still squeaking. Could it be the shocks? It sounds like it's coming from the front driver's side only. The front end seems to bounce a little bit too. Thanks for the help.
Are the upper control arm bushings centered? I ask only because this is easy to see. They are a good place to look for overall wear. Anyway, if you're not sure it's worth replacing everything at once, just so you know what's up.
