I have a guy what says he has a round tag 4456S that's made by Carter. He says it's the same as the 7037273 AIR, but made by Carter from the factory. Has anyone ever heard of this?

That is correct. Carter built Quadrajets up to 67 and the number you listed is a 67 4speed Carter carb.

How do you know this? I tried everything and couldn't match the two together. So is this Carter carb the A.I.R. version for a 67 4speed MT Firebird? Did this Carter come from the Pontiac factory on new Firebirds or it was a service replacement. Much thanks!
