I have a 67 HO, does anyone know if the shifter on the console is suppose to light up.
It seems it should

Since you got no takers - I am like you thinking there should be one. But I am probably confusing my '67 with my '80 T/A.
Neither the exploded parts view of the '67 console shifter or the '67 wiring diagram show a bulb or the wiring for one. I cannot verify the easy way as my '67 is still in paint jail.

Yes, see Ames items FA 565 and FA 569DC.
You will need a correct wiring harness if you are converting.

feels like my original 67 shifter lit up before I replaced it... I have the indicator.. I will check next time I'm out there...
