On the rear interior side panel on a 68 convertible how is that panel fastened? It sits down snug on the inside of the window opening but I noticed that on the bottom of the panel there is a pre-cut hole. Does it get a screw through there or does it just get pinched tight when the armrest with the ashtray is installed? This is what happens when it takes 10 years to get your car back together!
I just recently pulled mine off and will be reinstalling fairly soon. They were the originals and just hung in place off of the window opening. The windlace and the arm rest hold it in place.
