This question will probablly sound strange to you Firebrid experts, but to a brand new 69 Bird owner, it is quite serious. After purchasing the car, I noticed that the rear bird side markers were mostly covered by the rear bumper ends. I now realize that the rear end of this car must have been replaced and the markers installed in the wrong place.
Can anyone help me locate the correct location of these markers. Measurements in reference to the bumper front edge and body crease would be greatly appreciated.

My rear bird emblem is 1-1/2" from bumper to edge of wing and 1-1/8" down from crease. Make sure you have the right bumper, I have some quarter panels I bought for future body work and the bird is stamped out the shape of the bird, seems like it would be hard to screw that up. Pete

My dimensions are excactly like Peterps...
and I was going to say the same , are you sure your bumper is correct?
I also took pics of my measuring tape while measuring the bird location ,just in case...

Thanks to the help of Bjorn, Pete and Brett I have the direction I need to re-nest my rear quarter birds.
