I just bought a new repro deco booster for the 69. The rod coming out the back to goes to the turnbuckle that hooks to the pedal seems too long. The one on the old booster is shorter. I called Right Stuff who made the repro and they said to cut it down as needed and then back the nut off over the new cut to repair the threads. Sounds OK but I'd like to be sure that's OK before I do it. Has anyone done this successfully? Thanks, Doug

Just FYI I did have to cut the rod down with a cutoff wheel. no big deal but frustrating when you expect a repro part to fit out of the box.

I had to do the same with the one I purchased. It wasn't a chrome unit, just measure 5 times before u cut.
