Hello all - been a member a long time but have only made periodic check ins. Have owned a '67 Firebird 326 auto convertible for close to 30 years. I had hoped to do a complete restoration one day. Enjoyed it as a driver for many years then took it off the road 5+ years ago as it needs work - quarters rusted, floor boards, trunk floor etc. Haven't started it in 2 to 3 years but it has been garaged the entire time.

Time has come for me to let go of the fantasy that I'll have the time and $ to do it the right way so I'd like to ask for your help in determining the right price to list it for. Just over 100k miles. As far as I can tell it's a numbers matching car so it may have value to someone. As said needs quite a bit of body work, quarters, trunk floor, floor boards, needs new vinyl top. Currently red with parchment interior and white top. According to PHS it was originally verdoro green - I have the paperwork somewhere. Clean title/no wrecks or salvage. Car is located in NY/Hudson Valley. I can post pics if necessary.

I realize that this is not a pot of gold as someone will have to invest in getting it back on the road and hopefully restored so I want to be reasonable. I'd hate to see it go to the crusher.

Ballpark, if relatively good condition, I'd say $4k - $5k if needing full restoration. Maybe less if it "needs everything".

The resale red paint over a different original color could be seen as hiding a lot of past mistakes or issues.

'67 326 'birds are not much in demand these days.

But definitely should not go to the crusher.

Thanks. I will have to take some pics for current condition but I would assume it needs pretty much everything. Interior ok for a driver but it wouldn't hold up against body work and a nice paint job. Top is shot. I'll take the the pics over the next couple days and put them up. Any limitations to size and quantity?

You kept it this long ... keep it for another 30 years. It's not worth that much so you don't have to feel guilty for keeping it. I bought my 68 coupe in '80. Kept it and finally started working on it about 7 years ago. Stripped her down and found it was too rusted to restore cost effectively. I bought a 68 vert instead to restore. Still working on it but I now have a help with the restoration from my new son-in-law. When we get the vert done he wants to do the coupe and it will be his car. Just keep it and take your time and maybe something will change in your life and you will then be able to get back into it.

hey bud so I'm in monticello mn. just up the road from you I or a customer of mine has a 67 400 car that I did a complete body resto on it with new quarters and rockers a new door and new fender the rest were in excellent shape no rust new do know if this this is worth the 15500 he's asking with it needing a complete interior resto and the drive train is just original motor
