I have a 1970 Pontiac 350 (YU block, casting code 9799916) with 1968 2bbl heads (17) that came in my 67 400. Originally from an A-body car. I have a YT long block (67 400 w/ 670 heads) to build to replace it, and am wondering about what I can expect to get for the 350 if I sell it. It has an Edlebrock intake and carb on it (I think the Performer series) - I may or may not sell the carb and intake with it, depending. Any ideas?

Lots of guys have reported not even being able to give 350's away.

I tried to sell a nice, barely broke in, complete, 455, for $3000, and never had a serious cash offer, not even a lowball offer.

Couldn't even get $1000 for a used 455 long block out of my bracket racer. It ran 7.30's on our local 1/8 mile track.

I reckin most think that anything used has something wrong with it, and everybody will lie & try to swindle them out of their money.

The intake and carb could fetch a couple bucks if you're willing to part it out. The #17 heads are also nice for somebody looking to upgrade a smog 400 but for that effort they have better options. Sounds like a decent 350 set up so you might find somebody building a rat rod or such... if you lived local I'd by the intake carb and heads but for the cost of shipping it wouldn't be worth either of our time.
