I have a 1967 Firebird 400 (Pictures in my signature) and one of my hood scoop covers fell off on the road. The bolt must have broken loose and the thing came right off on the highway. Funny, but now my car has one open scoop hole and it looks very bad.
Where can I find some that are close to original, gloss black, and fit the hood? All the ones I've found so far (I even ordered some that didn't fit) don't fit the slot. The prongs that poke out from the bottom of the scoop don't line up with the slots that are already there, and the two that came with the car are completely different than the ones I ordered. The one that is still on the car has bolts already integrated with the scoop that allow some sturdy nuts to be screwed into place to hold the scoop cover on the hood.
Am I missing something, or are reproduction parts just never going to match up? It's an original hood as far as I know.
Repop scoups only fit repop hoods. Original scoups fit original hoods. I have a single original scoup, what side do you need?
