My temperature gauge in the rally cluster is no longer working correctly. It will not go back to the low temp ("100" mark) when cold which I believe it is suppose to. It starts out at the middle mark and goes up an 1/8" so it does move, but not correctly. Also, every time when I turn the ignition on, the needle vibrates for ~5sec. before settling down. I changed the sensor to a correct Lectric Limited, and tried one other new one I had one and it still shows the same. The gauge itself I tested by unplugging the green wire from the sensor and it will not go to the low temp either. When I ground the green wire it will go up to the "hot" side. Actual temp on my car is 185F measured with digital infrared thermometer. Any thoughts?

Was this gauge package originally installed in your car? It requires and wiring change to the harness. I tried years ago to swap this gauge and it vibrated like yours until it broke the needle off.
Thanks, I did convert it, but its an easy changeover, you just use 1 of the 2 green wires that the idiot temp gage has and tape the other one off. That's what I did.
