I’m in the process of restoring the original gauge set and carrier from a ‘68. I believe the primary finish of the carrier should be 60% gloss like the lower dash(correct ?). However, it appears the two gauge “tunnels†are a flat finish - 0% gloss, is this correct. Thanks

With additional research and reaching out to parts suppliers and industry "experts", not 100% conclusive but the general consensus is that the tunnels are a flat finish.

Yes, very flat finish, In fact, even rough to the feel if memory serves me right. I will take some shots of 2 that have never been painted

That would be great to be able to see what the originals look like. I did find a document that identified the original color codes and noted that section of the dash as 0% gloss which interprets to a flat (very flat) finish.
