I joined this forum in 2012 when we started rebuilding my 67. I ordered parts from a couple members, Craig I believe is one of them, and Bill is another I believe, thank you for your help so far. Some of the parts have been installed, others are still waiting... We rebuilt the front end and replaced sheet metal in 2012, 13 14, off and on. Life happened and my car has been pushed aside until this year. We've been doing body work since January as we have time. Decided to start her up last weekend. It's been since 2014 but I had faith. Put some gas in, topped off the fluids, cranked once...battery not strong enough. Changed battery, 2nd crank and BAM! She was running! After so much time on body work, it was nice to here my car run and get to drive it too!! Here's a couple pictures of my car from this weekend and a couple old one prior to rebuilding. This is the first time the valance has been on my car since 2003.... Yeah, I've had it a long time... A little progress is always good. Now we're fine tuning fitment on the body panels, then tear it apart again and finish the fine sanding, then paint!! I'm one happy soul! But then there's tearing the entire motor compartment down and cleaning, sanding and repainting it as well... One day at a time, but wanted to share a small accomplishment with my dream car!
Cant wait for summer... 68HO4004spvert Sleddog Iowa
